Self-proclaimed actor Eddie Bowman did the most work he could imagine doing for his acting career by shelling out $575 for new head shots. Despite the mental fortitude he must have to be willing to stand and be photographed in three different looks, Bowman still remains a truly awful actor.
“I’ve never taken an acting class, I don’t know how to make the faces to show sad or happy or whatever.” Says Bowman, “But, I figure if I update my head shots every few months, work is bound to come and my life as a celebrity will be easy from there.”
Despite trying to get work as an actor for 6 years, Bowman hasn’t booked a single roll in film, television, commercials, web-commercials, live theatre, sketches, or improvisation due to his incredible lack of skill as an actor.
Michelle Lucas, a friend of Bowman, offered a helping hand in his career, “I asked Eddie if he wanted to do this free scene study thing at my apartment every Saturday afternoon. It’s a great way to just keep working the skills of an actor, but he turned it down cause he said it sounded stupid.” Bowman reports he said to Lucas it sounded gay and he wanted to keep his Saturdays open for college football.
At press time Bowman was uploading the head shots to Facebook fan page “Actor Eddie Bowman,” expecting the acting gigs to roll in at any minute.
