Fans of holiday themed romantic comedy “Love The Coopers” got a little something extra after Saturday’s screening at the Sunset and Vine Arclight when local man Stan Ortiz mentioned to the people immediately around him that his friend Chuck had worked on the movie as a Craft Services Production Assistant. “Chuck always wanted to work on movies and seeing his name up there in the credits of ‘Love The Coopers’, it’s great to see he’s living his dream.” Said Mr. Ortiz.

The half a dozen or so movie fans couldn’t wait to hear Mr. Ortiz’ second hand stories about the production, with a tale about Diane Keaton’s usual lunch ordering being a particularly big hit. “Chuck even talked to her once. He said ‘Here’s your salad’ and she said ‘Hey, thanks kid’ which was particularly funny because Chuck is in his mid ‘30s.”

As the credits rolled, a small smattering of applause filled the theatre when Chuck’s name appeared for a few seconds on the ArcLight’s famous big screen. After several minutes of anecdotes from Mr. Ortiz, describing how Chuck was a hard working student at Santa Monica Community College and how this might be his “big break”, the small crowd was asked to leave the theatre by an overworked usher.
